May 30th was our last day in Sri Lanka, as we were leaving early in the night. Wiped out by our long trip the day before, we slept late and explored Colombo in the afternoon.

This morning I woke up at 9:45 am, later than I had in a while. Everyone wanted to go shopping for souvenirs, and I decided to stay back at the hotel since I was going to be in Sri Lanka for another month and was in no mood to shop. Everyone came back from shopping in the evening. From what I heard, some of the girls got massages and pedicures to recover from the hard labor this past week. We all collectively bought a cake for Sumit since this trip was his baby for many months, and he had brought it to completion. After eating cake, we had to say bye to Jason since he had to catch a flight to India. We got the first hint of goodbyes, and I’m sure many of us were thinking of how we will feel when all of us depart to our various homes.
