May 16th - We were all set to leave. Just a few days earlier, none of us had any idea how we would meet or exactly how we would be flying. All of our trip details had been arranged by different people, and none of us were travel agents. Only one of us had been to Sri Lanka before - and he was already there. Luckily, Ishreth, a native Sri Lankan from Colombo, got us the plan, and all of our parents breathed a sigh of relief. Freshly vaccinated, we all arrived at Newark excited and ready to go on our epic voyage - a connecting flight through Heathrow to Colombo, Sri Lanka.
